Job summary

Jotun Danmark A/S is seeking a Marine & Protective Coating Advisor to provide on-site support, inspections and technical advice across Denmark and nearby regions. You will work with shipowners, contractors, consultants and project owners within Jotun’s global Technical Service network to ensure compliance with project specifications.

You will be the primary technical contact for customers and help ensure quality, safety and timely delivery while traveling as needed to site locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in paints and coatings, corrosion protection, marine or heavy industry.
• FROSIO III or NACE certification.
• Experience with coating inspections and quality control.
• Strong Danish and English communication.
• Willingness to travel throughout Denmark and internationally.
• Technical education or engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coating inspections on marine and protective coating projects.
• Advise customers, contractors and applicators on surface preparation and paint application.
• Monitor projects to ensure specifications and quality requirements.
• Prepare technical inspection reports and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot coating-related challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Support sales colleagues with technical expertise before, during and after project execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure work aligns with Jotun’s HSE standards and procedures.

We’re looking for a Marine & Protective Coating Advisor who wants to combine technical expertise, customer interaction and hands‑on project work in a role where no two days are the same.

You will work closely with shipowners, contractors, consultants, applicators and project owners across Denmark and occasionally abroad. At the same time, you will become part of Jotun’s global Technical Service network, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues around the world.

About the role

As a Coating Advisor, you are often the customer’s primary technical contact and a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. You will provide on‑site support, inspections and technical advice while ensuring compliance with project specifications and Jotun standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting coating inspections on marine and protective coating projects
• Advising customers, contractors and applicators on surface preparation and paint application
• Monitoring projects to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements
• Preparing technical inspection reports and project documentation
• Troubleshooting coating‑related challenges and recommending practical solutions
• Supporting sales colleagues with technical expertise before, during and after project execution
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with Jotun’s HSE standards and procedures

What we are looking for

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer‑oriented professional who enjoys working independently while being part of a larger team.

Ideally, you have:

• Experience within paints and coatings, corrosion protection, marine, offshore, infrastructure or heavy industry
• FROSIO III certification or NACE certification
• Experience with coating inspections and quality control
• A technical education or relevant engineering/scientific background
• Strong communication skills in Danish and English
• Good IT skills and experience with technical reporting
• A valid driving license
• Willingness to travel throughout Denmark and occasionally internationally
