Job description

Want to shape a destination people experience every day?

We’re looking for a Leasing Manager to lead leasing activity for Westfield Fisketorvet and strengthen the destination through the right mix of retailers, restaurants, services and experiences

You’ll own opportunities from market mapping and tenant engagement through negotiation, approval, documentation and opening, working with teams across Northern Europe to deliver sustainable commercial growth and long-term asset value.

Why this role matters

This is a highly visible commercial role at the heart of Westfield Fisketorvet. You’ll help shape the destination’s tenant mix, attract relevant new concepts and build long-term partnerships with established and emerging brands. Your work will directly support occupancy, income, customer experience and Fisketorvet’s position in the Copenhagen market.

What you’ll be getting involved in

No two days will look exactly the same, but you’ll spend your time:

  • Managing the end-to-end leasing process, from identifying prospects and preparing proposals through negotiation, internal approval, legal documentation, completion and opening.
  • Developing and delivering the leasing action plan and tenant mix strategy for Westfield Fisketorvet, aligned with its positioning and long-term asset vision.
  • Sourcing high-quality concepts across retail, food and beverage, leisure, health and wellness, services and other complementary uses.
  • Building trusted relationships with prospective and existing tenants, understanding their objectives and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiating commercially strong terms within agreed financial parameters, balancing target rents and appropriate incentives with sustainable long-term value.
  • Managing renewals, re-lettings, assignments, refurbishments, surrenders, re-gears and other occupational events
  • Using sales performance, market trends, customer insight and competitor activity to identify opportunities and manage risk.
  • Partnering with Asset Management and Finance on business planning, budgets, forecasts, leasing assumptions and performance reporting.
  • Working with Retail Design and Delivery, Centre Management, Legal and other teams to support compliant, high-quality and timely openings.
  • Creatively reviewing unit configurations and commercial opportunities to maximise income, occupancy, returns and customer experience.
  • Managing external leasing agents and advisers, and contributing market insight and retail innovation across the Northern Europe Leasing team.
What we’re looking for

We’re not looking for someone who ticks every single box. What matters most is that you bring strong commercial judgement, the confidence to build relationships and negotiate effectively, and the energy to turn opportunities into results.

  • Relevant experience in commercial property leasing, retail expansion, asset management or a comparable customer-facing commercial role.
  • A strong understanding of the retail market and the factors that influence tenant mix, trading performance, customer experience and long-term asset value.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience progressing commercial agreements from initial discussion to signed contract.
  • The ability to build trust and influence retailers, senior colleagues and external partners.
  • Strong commercial and numerical capability, including evaluating deal terms, interpreting performance data and contributing to budgets and forecasts.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and follow through with accuracy and pace.
It would be great if you also bring
  • A relevant university degree in real estate, business, finance or a related discipline.
  • Experience within shopping centres, high-quality retail portfolios, leisure, food and beverage or brand expansion.
  • Existing relationships across the Danish or Nordic retail and property market.
  • Danish language capability.
  • Experience working in a regional or international matrix organisation.
