Job summary

Terma Group in Denmark seeks two Lead System Engineers to drive complex airborne defense projects from requirements to delivery. You will coordinate across mechanical, electronics, and software disciplines, ensuring successful integration into customer air and defense solutions.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strong collaboration across Systems, Mechanical, Electronics & Software Engineers, Testers and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with system development, preferably systems engineering.
• Experience in project management, ideally with a technical background.
• Experience developing systems containing both software and hardware/electrical components.
• Involvement in NATO or EU defense projects.
• The ability to work across different layers of technical abstraction, from components to full systems.
• Strong skills in decomposing complex problems and systems into manageable segments.
• Good understanding and experience within the different design phases represented in the V-model.

Responsibilities

• Understand the situation of a customer and their needs and requirements, and transform this knowledge into a technical solution.
• Responsible for the verification and validation of the complete solution in cooperation with the developing engineers and test engineers.
• Be an important sparring partner for colleagues in and outside the team.
• Participate in test activities necessary to ensure system and project delivery – including tests at the customer site.
• Participate in team alignment events like planning, refinement, retrospective, and review/demo.
• Share knowledge with fellow systems engineers in the SPS area.
