Job summary

LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark is seeking an Interactive Play Designer to bridge physical and digital play, guiding concepts from early-stage ideas to ready-to-launch prototypes. You will work within the LEGO Interaction Design Team on projects spanning digital and physical products, turning ideas into tangible, playable solutions for kids worldwide.

The role emphasizes prototyping with varying fidelity, collaboration in workshops, and delivering designs under real-world constraints, including

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and conceptualizing connected toys and/or play experiences.
• Ability to program and develop testable and playable prototypes using coding capabilities.
• Theoretical background in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, UX, CS, Architecture, Game Design or related field.
• Proven record in iterative prototyping for design, testing and validation.
• Systematic design approach and ability to prioritise work to business needs.
• Experience taking designs from concept to product launch.
• Strong verbal and visual communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to define creative directions for new concepts.
• Create interactive prototypes across physical and digital domains.
• Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to generate new ideas and concepts.
• Balance design within constraints like budget, timelines and feasibility.
