Job summary

The LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark, seeks a Senior Interactive Systems Designer to craft and document the interactive play systems behind our smart play experiences. You will work with designers, engineers and project teams to ensure coherence, clarity and impact across contexts.

You will prototype mechanics, apply systems thinking, and produce high-quality documentation to help teams build and refine these experiences.

Qualifications

• Several years designing interactive play, games, or toy experiences.
• Ability to design interconnected play mechanics and behaviors.
• Iterative design process driven by user testing.
• Hands-on programming and prototyping across tools/environments.
• Experience with audio tech including procedural audio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on interactive play systems with UX focus.
• Produce clear design documentation for teams to implement.
• Prototype play mechanics and small interactive systems across tools.
• Apply systems thinking to connect ideas, mechanics and tech.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to move ideas to reality.
• Communicate design decisions and trade-offs clearly.
• Provide governance across assets with context in audio synthesis and physics.
• Support culture of iteration, curiosity, and hands-on experimentation.
