Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking an Interactive Play Designer in Billund, Denmark, to bridge physical and digital play. The role involves end-to-end design from early concepts to detailed ready-to-launch solutions with a strong focus on prototypes and testing with children.

You will work closely with model designers, marketers and developers, turning concepts into tangible, playable experiences that align with business goals and LEGO system-in-play principles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing connected toys and/or play experiences.
• Ability to program and develop testable prototypes with coding capabilities.
• Background in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, UX, Computer Science, Architecture, Game Design, or related field.
• Proven iterative prototyping experience: design, test, validate.
• Prioritize work to meet current business needs.
• Experience taking designs from concept to product launch.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and visual.
• Experience with kid-focused products is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes to test, explore and validate play experiences.
• Align objectives with team and stakeholders during the project.
• Define creative directions using LEGO system-in-play and consumer insights.
• Collaborate in workshops and ideation sessions to generate concepts.
• Design within constraints (budget, tech feasibility) balancing complexity and ROI.
• Drive interactive play innovation across new and existing products.
