Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S in Aalborg invites students to contribute to wind power innovation by developing and maintaining software tools, collecting data, and assisting in prototype testing in a collaborative workshop setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field at a Danish university.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Proficiency with MS Office for data entry and verification.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain small software applications for innovation projects.
  • Write code for data collection and sensor integration in prototypes.

Join our dynamic Innovation Group at Siemens Energy's Wind Power Operations in Plant Aalborg, where you will play a crucial role in driving engineering and blade manufacturing innovation projects. Imagine developing and maintaining software applications that enhance our innovation efforts while providing hands‑on support in our workshop environment. Engage in exciting tasks such as prototype assembly and testing, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop, test, and maintain small-scale software applications and scripts to support innovation projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to write code for data collection and sensor integration, enhancing prototype testing setups.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance in the workshop, coordinating logistics for test materials and ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines.
  • Input and maintain engineering data and trial logs in internal systems, tracking project milestones and resource allocations.
  • Prepare technical presentations and reports to facilitate clear communication within the team, showcasing contributions to innovation.
What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field at a Danish university.
  • Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, with prior experience in personal programming projects or academic development tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential for data entry and verification tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective teamwork.
