Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a Head of Consenting HUB 1 to lead experienced Consent Managers across Denmark, Sweden and the UK, reporting to the Head of Consenting and working with Hub 2 leadership in Germany and the Netherlands.

You will combine people leadership, technical expertise and strategic influence to secure and manage consents for offshore wind projects, while shaping how the consenting function develops within an international portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, Geography, Planning, Environmental Management or related.
• 5–10 years of relevant professional experience, including offshore wind consenting.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure consent applications.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong practical knowledge of EIA and HRA processes.
• Experience managing complex consenting programmes, budgets, risks and project interfaces.
• Strong stakeholder and regulator management experience.
• Experience across offshore wind lifecycle or comparable projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Consent Managers across Denmark, Sweden and the UK.
• Overseeing consenting delivery across the Hub 1 portfolio, including prioritisation of activities and allocation of resources.
• Supporting the development and implementation of consenting strategies for major offshore wind projects.
• Providing guidance on complex regulatory, environmental, stakeholder and commercial challenges.
• Working closely with the Head of Consenting and the Hub 2 leadership team to establish consistent ways of working across markets.
• Contributing to organisational development, succession planning and capability building within the consenting function.
• Providing consenting input to portfolio strategy, opportunity assessment and wider business development activities.
