Job summary

Vattenfall GmbH seeks an Operations Manager for the Operational Control Centre in Esbjerg, Denmark. You will lead safe, efficient and reliable wind asset monitoring across Europe, ensuring continuous energy production in a 24/7 operation.

You will coach about 10 Operators, drive performance development, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, harmonise processes and deliver continuous improvement in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or managing teams in an operational environment.
• Several years of professional experience in operations, engineering, business management or a related field.
• Experience driving change, continuous improvement or workforce development initiatives.
• The ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with different stakeholders and disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting others to succeed.
• Experience with procedures, process optimisation or operational governance is considered an advantage.
• An open mindset, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience within the energy sector, wind industry or other technical environments is beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of Operational Control Centre Operators while ensuring safe, efficient and well‑coordinated operations.
• Coaching and developing team members through regular performance dialogues and growth plans.
• Driving competency development and identifying training opportunities for the team.
• Coordinating shift and resource planning to maintain operational efficiency and employee well‑being.
• Ensuring compliance with procedures and safety requirements across all shifts.
• Facilitating department meetings and promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Collaborating with operational sites and stakeholders to exchange best practices.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the department and process harmonisation.
• Contributing to improvements in systems, processes and procedures to increase effectiveness and service quality.
• Assisting the Manager of Control Centre and Senior Technician with priorities and ad hoc matters.
