Aarhus University invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor (Group Leader) position at PACE to study live-cell in vitro modelling of Parkinson’s disease. The candidate will build an independent program using advanced imaging to study α-synuclein biology in human cell models.

Qualifications

  • Established expertise in live-cell in vitro analyses of neurons and/or glia.
  • Proven ability to lead collaborations and secure external funding.
  • Proficiency in English, strong teaching and supervision skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a research group focusing on live-cell modelling of synucleinopathies.
  • Publish in high-impact journals and disseminate results internationally.
  • Teach and supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s students; develop new courses.
  • Secure external funding and oversee PhD student supervision.
