Job summary

Biotech Research and Innovation Center (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen seeks an Associate Professor in neurodevelopmental disorders to commence as soon as possible.

The candidate will lead research on brain development and neuropsychiatric disease mechanisms, with focus on identifying pathological mechanisms in neurodevelopmental disorders, using single-cell transcriptomics and in vivo circuit analyses.

Qualifications

  • Strong research profile within neurodevelopment and neuropsychiatric disease mechanisms, including publications in leading journals in senior roles.
  • Ability to derive mechanistic insights linking neuron types with behavioural impairments in mouse models of psychiatric disorders.
  • Ability to secure external funding and establish independent directions.
  • Contributions to interdisciplinary collaborations and international research networks.
  • Research qualifications achievable by completing a period as assistant professor/postdoc.
  • Teaching qualifications and pedagogical competencies.
  • Research-based teaching.
