Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Høje-Taastrup, Denmark is looking for a Supply Planner to secure the reliable supply of production materials. You will join Global Supplier Operations and take responsibility for sourcing production materials and managing purchase orders within assigned material categories, balancing quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience or strong understanding of supply chain disciplines such as planning, sourcing, shipping or logistics, ideally from a complex multinational organisation.
• Good IT understanding, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A quality-focused mindset, ideally including knowledge of GxP, as well as relevant exposure to international import or export activities.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships across a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Managing supply and purchase orders: Identify purchasing requirements, create and prioritise purchase orders, monitor supplier confirmations and follow up on deliveries to support timely material availability.
• Maintaining healthy inventory levels: Monitor item-specific stock levels, investigate potential shortages or discrepancies and help ensure inventory information remains correct and up to date.
• Coordinating with stakeholders: Collaborate with manufacturing sites, planners, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, warehouses, shipping and supply management colleagues to align sourcing plans with current production needs.
• Building effective supplier relationships: Maintain clear communication with global suppliers, align delivery plans with production requirements and support the delivery of materials on time and in full.
• Ensuring reliable data and processes: Maintain purchasing data in relevant systems, collaborate with system stakeholders and support invoice verification and posting in Coupa.
