Job summary

Muuto is seeking a commercially minded and analytical Category Manager to strengthen our global supplier network and drive category performance. You will develop supplier relationships, manage negotiations, and support growth.

In this role you will lead supplier development, optimize lead times, and ensure compliance with Muuto standards. Strong English communication and experience with international suppliers are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience within Category Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing international suppliers and complex supply chains.
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience working with KPIs and performance management.
• Commercial understanding combined with a collaborative and relationship-focused approach.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience from furniture, design, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing category strategies aligned with business objectives
• Managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance reviews
• Driving continuous improvements in lead time, delivery performance, quality, and cost
• Identifying and implementing sourcing opportunities and risk mitigation plans
• Leading supplier development initiatives and supporting dual sourcing strategies
• Monitoring KPIs and using data-driven insights to improve category performance
• Supporting new product introductions from design to market launch
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance
• Ensuring supplier compliance with Muuto standards, sustainability requirements, and business processes
• Driving transparency and reporting across supplier and category performance
