Job summary

Muuto is seeking a commercially minded Category Manager to strengthen our global supplier network and drive category performance. You will develop supplier relationships, manage negotiations, and ensure scalable, resilient supply chains aligned with Muuto’s growth plans.

Based in Denmark, this role collaborates with design, product development, and commercial teams to optimize sourcing, lead-time, quality, and cost. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and start at earliest date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or related field.
• 5+ years in Category Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing international suppliers and complex supply chains.
• Analytical capabilities with KPIs and performance management.
• Commercial mindset with a collaborative, relationship-focused approach.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Excellent English communication.
• Experience in furniture, design, consumer goods, or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance reviews.
• Drive improvements in lead time, delivery performance, quality, and cost.
• Identify sourcing opportunities and risk mitigation plans.
• Lead supplier development initiatives and dual sourcing strategies.
• Monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve category performance.
• Support new product introductions from design to market launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Muuto standards, sustainability requirements, and processes.
