Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to lead a team of Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers, overseeing LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, NFV services across regional sites. You will manage incidents, changes, and deliveries while balancing engineering goals.

Drive automation, service standardisation, and reliability improvements. Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Cyber Security, and Operations to align with global standards in a large, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading network engineering teams within a large enterprise or similar.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and NFV technologies.
• Experience delivering network services across geographically distributed sites.
• Familiarity with network automation, APIs, Python, Ansible, and IaC is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or SD-WAN cert are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Network Engineers, setting priorities and expectations.
• Oversee delivery, operation, and improvement of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, NFV services.
• Coordinate escalations and major incidents with stakeholders and vendors.
• Drive technical debt reduction, automation, and service standardisation.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Cyber Security to align with standards.
• Manage regional network risks, capacity, reliability, and supplier relationships.
