Job summary

Maersk is seeking a senior Network Engineering leader to guide a team delivering LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and NFV services across regional sites, while driving automation and service reliability in a global logistics environment.

You will coordinate with Product, Architecture, Cyber Security and Operations, manage incidents and changes, and mentor engineers to raise performance and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading network engineering teams in large enterprise or service provider.
• Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN technologies and security.
• Experience with major incidents, problem investigations and action plans.
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
• Familiarity with network automation, APIs, Python, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers, setting priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
• Manage operational demand across incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and planned changes while balancing engineering delivery commitments.
• Oversee the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and NFV services across regional sites.
• Coordinate technical escalations and major incident responses, ensuring effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
• Drive lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, automation initiatives, service standardisation, and reliability improvements.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, and Cyber Security teams to ensure alignment with global standards, reference architectures, and security controls.
• Manage regional network risks, capacity, resilience, performance, and supplier relationships while providing visibility of delivery progress and operational outcomes.
