Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Danish Legal & Contracts team as part of the North, Central East Europe (NCEE) and the global Legal, Contracts & Compliance organization. You will play a vital role within an international project team and help coordinate with internal departments.

Key duties include negotiating and managing contracts with customers and subcontractors, maintaining records, guiding project teams to minimize risk, drafting formal communications,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of consolidated experience in complex contract management or related roles
• Experience in infrastructure projects (railway, energy, construction)
• Ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts
• Excellent drafting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage contracts with customers and sub-contractors
• Coordinate inputs from Project Manager, Scheduler, Procurement and Finance
• Maintain contract records and key correspondence
• Provide legal guidance to minimize risk and maximize opportunities
• Draft formal project communications
• Represent the company in meetings
• Manage claims, variations, and escalation with counsel
• Identify and mitigate contractual and legal risks in tenders
• Prepare legal memos and documents with internal experts
• Support negotiations with customers and suppliers
