Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Danish Legal & Contracts team within the NCEE and global organization. You will facilitate efficient coordination with internal departments, oversee contract negotiations, and manage risk across multiple projects.

You will provide guidance on contracts, draft formal communications, and liaise with internal and external counsel. Strong Danish and English skills are essential, as is experience in complex contract environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in complex contract management or related roles.
• Experience in infrastructure projects (rail, energy or construction).
• Ability to negotiate complex contracts and procurement documents.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage contracts with customers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate inputs from project stakeholders and support functions.
• Maintain contractual records and key correspondence.
• Provide contract guidance to project teams and mitigate risk.
• Draft formal project communications and represent the company in meetings.
• Manage claims, variations and liaise with counsel.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and legal risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare legal memos with internal experts.
• Support negotiations with customers and suppliers.
