Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Danish Legal & Contracts team within the North, Central East Europe and the global organization. You will coordinate with internal departments and manage contractual relationships on international projects.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, handle notices, changes and claims, and provide guidance to project teams to minimize risk while maximizing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Danish Master of Laws (LL.M.) and/or MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law, or similar degree.
• Minimum 5 years of consolidated experience in contract management, commercial, legal and/or project management roles.
• Good understanding of contract and commercial management practices in complex project environments.
• Ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts, agreements and procurement documents.
• Competence in contractual risk assessment, claims prevention, change management and negotiation support.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills in internal and external environments.
• Fluency in Danish and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Contractual negotiation and management of relationships with customers and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate inputs from Project Manager, Scheduler, Procurement, Technical Leads and support functions.
• Maintaining contractual records and key correspondence.
• Provide guidance and interpretation to project teams to minimize risk and maximize opportunities.
• Drafting of formal project communications.
• Representing the company in internal and external meetings.
• Management of claims and variations including escalation and liaison with counsel.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate contractual and legal risks for tenders.
