Job summary

NORDEN is seeking a Chartering Manager for its Capesize team. The role focuses on optimising vessel employment, building customer partnerships and turning market opportunities into results in a global shipping context.

You will work with in-house risk management and market research groups, travel internationally, and contribute to growth in the Capesize segment through proactive trading and relationship management.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in Dry Cargo Chartering.
• Experience trading and optimizing earnings on tonnage and cargoes.
• Experience managing commercial exposure.
• Experience building and maintaining customer and broker relationships.
• Basic understanding of hedging and FFAs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise vessel employment in a dynamic global market.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, brokers and stakeholders.
• Create commercial value through cargo bookings and tonnage procurement.
• Spot opportunities across the business and connect customers with solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure effective execution and customer experience.
• Help grow Capesize business and expand presence in key trades.
