Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Crew Operator to drive crew planning and operations for a global fleet. You will ensure compliant manning, coordinate rotations and long-term staffing, and support performance development for seafarers across our Crewing teams.

The role requires strong English communication, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with international stakeholders to optimize crew changes and costs. A background in seafaring is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in crewing or maritime operations; Manning, Crewing, Marine HR or similar.
• Strong communication in English and stakeholder management.
• Ability to plan and execute in structured, proactive way.
• Experience coordinating crew rotations and vessel manning across global fleets.

Responsibilities

• Manage crew planning and operational readiness across Maersk's fleet.
• Ensure vessels are adequately manned per flag requirements and policies.
• Coordinate long-term planning for senior officers and crew rotations.
• Collaborate with fleet groups and Crewing teams globally to meet vessel needs.
• Support performance evaluation, promotions, and training recommendations for crew.
