Job description

Do you want to see the world and are you interested in the offshore industry?

Then we have the perfect challenge for you. You will be responsible for carrying out service activities on our offshore handling equipment, which is used by customers across the global Marine and Offshore industries.

The position

You will become part of our Service Team, anchored within our Automation Department and consisting of 12 employees. We provide comprehensive hands-on training, ensuring a smooth introduction to the role.

During your onboarding period, you will participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at our facility in Bur, giving you a fast-track introduction to our product portfolio and key technologies.

Alongside this accelerated technical training programme, you will quickly establish close working relationships with colleagues across Sales, Product Management, Workshop, Engineering and Automation. As your knowledge of control systems and machinery develops, you will gradually take ownership of your own service assignments.

You can expect between 50 and 120 travel days per year.

Key responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver professional, high-quality service work. As a Field Service Engineer, you will independently perform service activities both on-site and offshore at customer locations.

Success in this role requires not only strong technical problem-solving skills, but also the ability to manage customer dialogue effectively and ensure the appropriate support from our organisation in Denmark.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Remote support, including troubleshooting and technical guidance regarding equipment-related issues.
  • Fault finding and servicing on customer sites, including adjustments to PLC programmes.
  • Initiating and coordinating service projects internally and externally.
  • Participation in our 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Installation, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipment delivered to customers.
  • Providing technical support, customer training and education.
  • Documentation and reporting upon completion of service assignments.
Your profile

You are highly motivated and willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. We do not require many years of experience, but you must be comfortable working in an informal and fast-paced environment and be eager to contribute with a high level of efficiency while remaining approachable and down-to-earth.

Taking responsibility comes naturally to you. You are solution-oriented and proactive in your approach to work. Throughout your career, you have demonstrated the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, maintain an overview and meet deadlines.

You likely hold a technical qualification as an electrician, marine engineer, service engineer or similar. Ideally, you have experience within both electrical and mechanical disciplines. Experience with PLC programming, as well as electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, is highly desirable.

You are fluent in spoken and written English and ideally also have Danish language skills. You are a confident user of Microsoft 365.

What we offer

We offer an exciting position within an international company experiencing strong growth and pursuing even greater ambitions. We have both the resources and the determination to turn our employees’ ambitions into reality.

We operate at a high professional level, covering the entire process from concept development to installation. At the same time, you will have ample opportunity to develop professionally through independent tasks and associated responsibilities.

This is a full-time position based in Bur, located 10 km west of Holstebro, Denmark.
