Overview

We are looking for a versatile Field Service Engineer to join our service team in Automation. In this role, you will act as a hands‑on, trusted technical resource for our customers—commissioning equipment, troubleshooting issues, and helping keep cement plants running smoothly. You will receive thorough formal training and on‑the‑job experience with experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Gas Analysis & Emissions Monitoring (Airloq)
    • Commission, service, and repair gas analysis, flow measurement, and dust monitoring equipment.
    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify recurring patterns, and contribute to improvement projects.
    • Train customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • ECS/ControlCenter
    • Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance on ECS/ControlCenter and other automation systems during commissioning and after plant startup—on‑site or remotely.
    • Diagnose and resolve automation system issues to minimize downtime.
    • Support system upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimization at customer sites.
    • Provide technical support, training and handover documentation to customers and operations teams.
  • Site Installation & Commissioning (MCS)
    • Supervise electrical & instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site.
    • Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors and head office throughout a project.
    • Support PLC/DCS and SCADA/HMI programming, testing, and commissioning.
    • Participate in cold and hot commissioning, plant start‑up, load trials, and optimisation.
    • Inspect equipment on site, advise customers on storage and protection of Fuller‑supplied equipment, and flag quality issues.
    • Provide ongoing service and troubleshooting support for MCS systems after commissioning, including remote support where on‑site presence isn’t required.
  • Across All Areas
    • Act as a trusted, service‑mindful point of contact for customers, communicating technical matters with confidence and integrity.
    • Document work, write clear reports for every customer visit and maintain accurate technical records.
    • Help identify upgrade, retrofit, and service opportunities during customer engagements, supporting our Service, Project, and Sales teams.
    • Follow safety standards, quality procedures and regulatory compliance in everything you do.
Qualifications
  • A technical background as an electrician, automation/instrumentation engineer, marine engineer, or similar – or a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • Familiarity with Fuller Automation’s ECS Control Center is an advantage.
  • Hands‑on site experience with E&I installation and commissioning is a plus.
  • A structured, service‑mindful approach: able to keep an overview of a project from execution to reporting, and comfortable supporting projects, sales, and suppliers with technical input.
  • Strong communication skills – fluent English, spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, commissioning and on‑site support.
Benefits
  • Thorough training on the job ensuring your growth across all service areas.
  • A role with real variety – working with gas analysis, automation, and site commissioning across the cement industry.
  • The opportunity to work directly with customers and international colleagues on complex, high‑impact industrial projects.
  • A collaborative, international work environment, with a strong focus on safety, ongoing training and professional growth.
  • A competitive compensation package, including a company pension scheme and standard employee benefits in accordance with Danish employment practices.
  • The annual salary for the role ranges from DKK 590,000 to DKK 830,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.
