Job summary

Sperton Global AS is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Biogas Systems, onshore and offshore applications. You will execute field activities, perform repairs, and hand over equipment to customers, working in a multinational setting with global impact.

The role requires hands-on mechanical overhaul experience, travel readiness, and familiarity with marine classification rules. A company car and career growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Degree: BSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Swedish or Danish and English (written and verbal).
• Willing to travel extensively.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical overhaul and maintenance of pumps, compressors, valves, and electrical equipment.
• Familiar with Classification Society rules (marine industry).

Responsibilities

• Execute field service activities safely and cost-effectively.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on gas analysis systems and sensors.
• Commission equipment and hand over to customers.
• Create Service Work Reports and manage time/expenses.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety & Environment guidelines.
• Advise customers on products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute field service activities and general practices safely and cost-effectively.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, running tests, fine-tuning, adjustments, trimming related to running performance, on equipment.
• Independently perform significant/complex repairs and complete overhaul.
• Service and repair of Gas analyse systems and adjustment of pressure/temperature sensors.
• Filter exchange, lubrication of motors, electrical checks etc.
• Perform warranty and commissioning activities, handing the equipment over to the customer.
• Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
• Participate in pre and post briefing for each mission.
• Create the Service Work Reports.
• Collect and organise time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
• Adhere to safety instructions and report deviations.
• Supervise the tasks performed by employees and subcontractors.
• Advice and promote products and solutions to customers.

Key Requirements

• BSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent job experience
• Must be Fluent in Swedish or Danish & English, written and verbal
• Willing and able to meet an extensive travel program
• Proven hands-on experience with mechanical overhaul and maintenance of industrial equipment, particularly pumps, compressors, valves, and electrical equipment
• Familiarity with applicable Classification Society rules for the marine industry (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS, etc.)
• Previous experience withcustomer care by ensuring clear communication, professional conduct, and proactive problem-solving to enhance customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
• Highly service minded
• Previous experience with the Service Work Reports
• Good computer skills, beneficial familiarity with Siemens PLCs or similar control systems
• Structured, good attention to detail, and self-motivating
• Collaborative and team mindset, ability to work in a multinational team
