Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Director, BU Controlling (f/m/d) to influence profitability and strategic direction across a global business. You will partner with the VP of the VPS Business Unit to drive transparency, governance, and performance.

This role offers flexibility to be based at a Danfoss location within the European time zone, with coaching of controllers and development of a high-performing global controlling community.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Experience driving business performance through controlling, finance business partnering, or finance leadership in manufacturing/industrial/engineering.
• Strong expertise in FP&A, profitability analysis, performance management, and risk management.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across a global matrix organization.
• Experience coaching and developing finance professionals.

The Impact You'll Make

Join Danfoss Power Solutions as Director, BU Controlling (f/m/d) and help shape the financial performance and strategic direction of a global business. This role offers flexibility to be based at a Danfoss Power Solutions location within the European time zone, enabling close collaboration with business leaders and finance teams across our global organization. Partnering closely with the VP of the Valves & Pumps (VPS) Business Unit, you will drive transparency across performance, profitability, and risk, turning financial complexity into actionable insights that support confident decision-making and profitable growth. You will also help build and develop a high-performing global controlling community, strengthening financial capabilities across the organization while supporting business performance through coaching, governance, and matrix leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Proven track record of driving business performance through controlling, finance business partnering, or finance leadership within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
• Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, performance management, and risk management
• Proven ability to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders while building trusted relationships across a global matrix organization
• Experience coaching and developing finance professionals, strengthening capabilities, and driving results through influence and collaboration
