Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Historian & Archives Manager to safeguard and activate corporate memory, overseeing both physical and digital archives and turning heritage into business insights.

You will lead governance, data quality, and systems migration while driving AI-enabled improvements for discovery and access. This role supports communications, branding, and strategic projects with historical expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in archives and records management within a corporate context.
• Strong governance, metadata standards, and taxonomy knowledge.
• Ability to lead digital transformation in archives and implement AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage Maersk's physical and digital archives, including historical records and artefacts.
• Maintain governance, metadata, retention policies, and quality controls.
• Lead migration and improvement of archive systems with data mapping and cleansing.
• Drive digital transformation to improve discovery, scalability, and access.
• Explore AI-enabled solutions for knowledge retrieval and metadata generation.
• Conduct historical research and advise on Maersk's history for communications.
• Develop heritage storytelling to strengthen brand and strategic messages.
• Support stakeholders with archival research and knowledge management services.
