Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk seeks an experienced Historian & Archives Manager to safeguard, manage, and activate the corporate memory across physical and digital archives.

You will ensure long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of historical records while transforming heritage assets into strategic insights and business value. You will lead governance, data migration, metadata enrichment, taxonomy design, and quality controls to support navigation, searchability, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Experience safeguarding both physical and digital archives.
• Knowledge governance, metadata standards, retention policies and taxonomies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical and digital archives, safeguarding and enabling access to historical records and corporate knowledge.
• Lead implementation, migration, and continuous improvement of archive systems and data quality controls.
• Drive digital transformation in archives to improve discoverability and user experience.
• Evaluate AI-enabled solutions for knowledge retrieval and metadata generation.
• Support communications, branding, and legal requests with archival research and consultancy.
