Job summary

Maersk is seeking a senior data & AI platform architect in Copenhagen to own major platform components from storage to agent layers. You will define target architectures, migration paths, and make decisions balancing cost and interoperability.

You will personally write and deploy production code and establish internal tooling standards. You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Business, and Engineering managers to align sequencing and technical risk.

Qualifications

• Has designed and delivered systems that multiple teams build on.
• Strong command of distributed systems fundamentals and data contracts.
• Experience designing platform foundations: data contracts, lineage, schema evolution, access control.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture for major platform components and data products from storage to application and agent layers.
• Define target architectures and migration paths with emphasis on open standards and interoperability.
• Write and deploy production code and reference implementations.
• Make build-vs-buy decisions with cost, operational load and dependency risk in mind.
• Set platform foundations including data contracts, lineage, governance and cost management.
• Establish agentic engineering practices and internal tooling standards across the group.
• Tackle hard technical problems and drive them to a working resolution.
• Lead design and code reviews and mentor peers.
• Collaborate with Product, Business and Engineering Managers on sequencing and risk.
