Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Denmark's Jutland region seeks a Development Engineer in the pump group to develop, enhance and maintain our centrifugal pump portfolio, collaborating across R&D, operations and technical support to meet customer needs and ensure reliable delivery.

You will work hands-on, conduct testing, drive improvements and participate from idea to product launch, with a focus on design, manufacturing methods and cross-functional teamwork in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical education.
• At least five years of relevant experience, preferably from an R&D or product development environment.
• Experience with hands-on product design and physical testing.
• Strong understanding of product construction, mechanical design and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with CAD and PLM systems, ideally Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of pump technologies or the hygienic industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with FEM and an interest in further developing your competence in this area.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Danish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain the existing Alfa Laval centrifugal pump portfolio.
• Drive product improvement activities that strengthen competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and conduct hands-on product testing in the Innovation Center.
• Further develop testing methods and approaches for pump products.
• Participate in projects from initial idea through development and product launch.
• Support Global Technical Support with technical knowledge and product expertise.
• Support global operations and contribute to supply chain-related projects.
• Collaborate with R&D colleagues and cross-functional teams across Alfa Laval.
• Contribute to quality improvements and process development.
