Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Development Engineer to join the pump group in Kolding. You will contribute to development, enhancement and maintenance of the centrifugal pump portfolio, ensuring products meet customer needs and remain competitive.

You will work across the full lifecycle, from identifying improvements to supporting launches, collaborating with global teams across engineering, operations and technical support.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience in R&D or product development.
• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent education.
• Hands-on product design and physical testing experience.
• Strong understanding of product construction, mechanical design and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with CAD and PLM systems (Siemens NX, Teamcenter).
• Familiarity with FEM and an interest in developing this area; Fluent English; Danish an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain the existing Alfa Laval centrifugal pump portfolio.
• Drive product improvement activities to strengthen competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and conduct hands-on product testing in the Innovation Center.
• Develop testing methods and approaches for pump products.
• Participate in projects from initial idea through development and product launch.
• Support Global Technical Support with knowledge and product expertise.
• Support global operations and contribute to supply chain-related projects.
• Collaborate with R&D colleagues and cross-functional teams across Alfa Laval.
• Contribute to quality improvements and process development.
