Job summary

ECCO Sko A/S is building an enterprise data platform in Copenhagen to support data-driven decisions, analytics, and AI use‑cases. You will contribute to scalable data pipelines, work with cutting‑edge technology, and collaborate across business areas to enable ECCO’s operations through data.

You will join a skilled Data Engineering team in a dynamic, international environment with opportunities to influence architecture and use of modern data tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in science/engineering.
• Proficient in Python.
• Knowledge of at least one OO or functional language.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience in analytical data warehousing.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Experience with Airflow and dbt for data pipelines.
• Ideally experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Experience with data observability generally.
• Interest in computation performance.
• Proactive in documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Excellent communication in English; Danish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate data pipelines ensuring timely and accurate data availability.
• Deploy and maintain systems that store and process data.
• Actively improve data ingestion software and workflows.
• Monitor systems for operability and proactively resolve issues.
• Debug complex data systems effectively.
• Measure and improve query performance.
• Manage data lifecycle from source to user consumption.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on architecture choices.
