Job summary

ABACUS MEDICINE in Copenhagen is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data pipelines in a cloud-native environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers and grow into responsibilities as the data platform evolves.

You'll contribute to the backbone of our data platform supporting analytics, BI, and AI/ML use cases, using a modern data stack and observability practices. This role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Solid experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with Git in collaborative workflows.
• Proficient SQL and data transformation basics.
• Interest in data, cleaning, and validating datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• English written and spoken fluency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics and AI/ML.
• Contribute to core data platform architecture and tooling.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, AI, ML, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources.
• Improve data reliability through quality checks, monitoring, and observability.
• Optimize data storage and performance to scale with growth.
• Support cloud infrastructure for data workloads (compute, storage, access control).
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines using observability tools.
