Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive’s Hill’s Nordics unit in Copenhagen seeks a senior leader to drive growth with key digital and omni-channel customers. You will develop strategic plans, lead high-impact meetings, and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize GTM execution.

The role requires 3+ years in digital/omni-channel roles, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and excellent English with possible Nordic language support. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with a global consumer brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Development or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing digital or omni-channel customers.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills for mutually-beneficial solutions.
  • Ability to discover common ground and understand the customer’s underlying priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with basic analytic tools (G-Sheets, Excel).
  • Ability to create highly influential presentations using slideshow tools (G-Slides, PPT).
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Able to communicate in Danish, Swedish, Finnish and/or Norwegian.

Responsibilities

  • Connect the dots by identifying opportunities and 7P strategies and consumer insights.
  • Develop and maintain processes to analyze customer channels (clinics, stores, .com).
  • Lead customer meetings to influence GTM plans.
  • Develop and execute annual strategic plans to reach commercial goals.
  • Engage customers on category growth with Hill’s strategies to drive sales.
  • Customize programs with Hill’s Activation team to drive incremental sales.
  • Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables.
  • Build forecasts for volume, promotions and spend reflecting baseline sales.

Position Summary:

You will assume customer management responsibilities for strategic partners of Hill’s Nordics.Your primary role is to drive accelerated growth and superior customer engagement with our key customers in E-Commerce and Omni channel to help achieve the company’s distribution, sales, share and profit goals. You will develop and execute customer-specific commercial plans to achieve net sales, share and margin goals. The focus of this position is a complex omnichannel customer with high sales, high store counts, large geographical footprint and a strong marketplace influence, where strong leadership is needed to engage customers at the highest level with strategic plans.

What you will do

Connect the dots - You have a pulse on the big picture to identify areas of opportunity for products and programs, develop Customer specific 7P’s strategies that incorporate consumer insights, and have an awareness of competitor activity to deliver against your business objectives

Develops and maintains processes and plans to analyze the customer’s business channels (clinics, stores, .com). Evaluates business trends, shopper insights, and findings from post analysis of performed activities, which uses customer consumption and other available data

Leads customer meetings to influence support of Hill’s Go-to-Market plans

Develops and executes annual strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the commercial goals

Engage customers on category growth expectations and opportunities. Developing category and brand solutions to drive the Hill’s business

Customizes specific programs with Hill’s ODG Activation team, using Hill’s brand strategies to drive incremental sales

Establish partnerships with internal and external cross-functional teams. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against strategy and goals

Builds and maintains accurate volume, promotion and spend forecasts to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans, including managing customer payments

Collaborates internally to carry out the Hill’s retail environment and brand strategy within investment guidelines

Drives forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus plan-to-go

Skills and Competencies:

Growth Mindset: Ability to operate in a fluid, cross-commercial environment with an eagerness to learn and a high level of curiosity.

Omnichannel Oriented: Familiarity with the Pet Parent Shopper journey and 'Moments that Matter' across vet, brick-and-mortar, and eCommerce channels.

Analytical Proficiency: Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and cross-commercial analytics to monitor execution effectiveness and assist in resource allocation.

Collaboration & Syncing: Strong capability to work as "One Commercial Team" alongside Marketing, Customer Development, and external trade partners.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Development or a related field.

Demonstrated track record of success managing large, sophisticated customer relationship

3+ years of experience managing digital or omni-channel customers and/or digital marketing

Strong influence and negotiations skills for mutually-beneficial solutions with persistence, compromise, and respect

Ability to discover common ground, identify vital interests, and understand the customer’s underlying priorities

Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, with demonstrated proficiency in basic analytic tools (G-sheets, Excel) to develop share-driving 7P’s recommendations

Ability to create highly influential and persuasive presentations, using slideshow tools (G-Slides, PPT)

Ability to handle ambiguity and strategize solutions for the customer’s business and 7P’s plan performance and quickly develop alternative plans as needed

Ability to work effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities, solve problems, optimize resources, and drive effective execution

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Fluency in English (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior entry-level experience or internships in Marketing, Brand Management, or Customer Development within a global or matrixed organization.

Pet Nutrition or related FMCG industry experience.

Knowledge of Retail Environment strategies.

Strong tech-fluency and experience using AI-powered tools.

Able to communicate in Danish, Swedish, Finnish and/or Norwegian.
