Job summary

Afinitas, with a global footprint and a strong focus on automated production equipment, is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and implement electrical control systems. You will program PLCs, develop HMI, integrate robotics, configure drives, and commission systems across new and upgrading facilities.

Ideal candidates have a controls engineering degree, 3+ years in the field, and experience with EPLAN and TIA Portal.

Qualifications

• Controls Engineering degree; 3+ years in electrical/control role.
• Experience with electrical design CAD tools (EPLAN) and automation software (TIA Portal).
• Experience with industrial robotics hardware and software programming; servo drives and motion control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement hardware and software for automated production equipment.
• Design electrical control panels, I/O architectures, safety systems, and field device integration.
• Test, commission, and optimize control systems and robotics across facilities.
• Provide remote and on-site support; create and update technical documents.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve technical/logistical issues and improve processes.
