Job summary

Afinitas is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, develop and support electrical, control and automation systems for production equipment. The role involves hardware design, PLC programming, HMI development, robot integration and commissioning across facilities.

You will collaborate with engineering and product development teams, stay current on advances in system architecture, and travel up to 25% to customer sites. Danish language fluency is required along with working English.

Qualifications

• Controls Engineering Degree and ideally 3+ years experience in electrical/control systems engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical hardware design and automation software development.
• Familiarity with EPLAN and TIA Portal for design and programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement hardware and software solutions for automated production equipment.
• Design electrical control panels, I/O architectures, safety systems and field device integration.
• Test, commission and optimize control systems, drives and robotics in new or upgraded facilities.
• Assist customers with control systems problems via remote or on-site support.
• Create and maintain technical documents, procedures and references.
• Document development processes and code changes for future reference.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical/logistical issues.
• Provide guidance for system operation manuals and diagnostic aids.
• Stay current on system architecture developments for machine control.
• Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time.
