Job summary

Afinitas in Denmark is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design and implement electrical and software controls for automated production equipment. You will lead PLC programming, robotics integration, and drive configurations through all project phases, from concept to startup and customer support.

Ideally, you have a Controls Engineering degree with 3+ years in manufacturing settings, strong CAD (EPLAN) and PLC (TIA Portal) experience, plus knowledge of robotics and motion control.

Qualifications

• Requires a Controls Engineering Degree and ideally 3+ years experience in electrical or control systems engineering within manufacturing/plant industries.
• Experience with electrical hardware design and automation software development.
• Familiarity with Electrical design CAD tools (EPLAN).
• Experience in Developing, programming and testing PLCs (TIA Portal).
• Experience with industrial robotics hardware and software programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement hardware and software solutions for automated production equipment.
• Design electrical control panels, I/O architectures, safety systems, and field device integration.
• Perform testing, setup, commissioning, and optimization of control systems, drive systems, and robotic applications.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and service technicians.
• Create and maintain technical documents, procedures, and diagnostics aids to support operations.
