Job summary

Afinitas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform a range of mechanical design duties for the global Equipment and Automation range. You will design mechanical components and subsystems of automated machinery under guidance to meet customer and market requirements.

This office-based role with occasional travel to customer plants requires CAD work in SolidWorks, BOM management, and collaboration with manufacturing, procurement and service teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or Certificate and ideally 3+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering role, within manufacturing/ plant industries.
• Ability to read, interpret and create mechanical and assembly drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and documentation from concepts using SolidWorks.
• Prepare and maintain bills of material from CAD assemblies.
• Develop assembly drawings compliant with Afinitas standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on design and cost reduction.
• Support customers and field personnel with engineering documentation and questions.
