We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join the Commercial Management department within a major international renewable energy company's offshore wind generation business, supporting Major Component Exchanges (MCE) campaigns. This is a senior position, based in Kolding, Denmark, with hybrid working (approx. 50% onsite / 50% remote) and occasional travel required (approx. once per month).
In this role, you will lead the commercial strategy and provide end-to-end commercial support to Major Component Exchange campaigns, working closely with Project Managers and Package Leads from campaign inception through to final account settlement.
Lead commercial strategy and provide embedded commercial support, including risk mitigation, to Project Managers and Package Leads throughout MCE campaigns. Drive cost control, value engineering, and commercial performance monitoring. Support the procurement process for establishing Framework Agreements (e.g. cables, MCE) by contributing operational and contract management input to sourcing strategy and negotiations, and provide guidance and quality assurance to Procurement Managers to ensure contracts are fit-for-purpose. Manage Framework Agreements once signed, in line with established contract management methodology and contract lifecycle management tools. Manage contract negotiations and supplier engagement, and facilitate escalation forums and processes.
Several years of experience (senior level) in contract management and negotiation (BIMCO, FIDIC), including interpretation of contractual clauses, identification of contractual risks, and recommendation of mitigations. Ability to work concurrently with multiple internal and external parties in the best interest of the project. A collaborative team player able to influence across a wide network of relationships and work effectively in multicultural teams. Strong self-management and delivery focus, with the ability to balance conflicting requirements of quality, cost, and time, and make decisions under tight timescales. Strong English communication skills, comfortable presenting, building relationships, and influencing others across different cultures and geographies.
