Job summary

VELUX Group seeks a Project Manager for Automation Projects at the Technology Center in Skjern. You will lead multi-disciplinary automation and production technology projects, coordinating with engineering, design, procurement, and manufacturing to deliver customized equipment for our factories across Europe.

The role involves planning, budgeting, and risk management, plus close collaboration with internal customers to translate needs into technical specs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience in project management within a technical or industrial environment.
Solid knowledge of machinery, mechanics, automation solutions, or machine-building projects.
Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and managing project deliverables.
Fluent in English and Danish, written and spoken.
Willing to travel internationally as part of the role.

Responsibilities

Lead, facilitate, and coordinate project activities, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate with internal customers to understand needs and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Work closely with designers and programmers to define machine sequences and mechanical and electrical solutions.
Coordinate with design and procurement teams to identify suppliers and source required components.
Guide and support workshop teams responsible for developing and building production equipment.
Facilitate transportation, installation, commissioning, site acceptance testing, and training at production sites.
Ensure successful project completion, handover, and transfer of responsibility to customers.
Support new product development projects by ensuring manufacturing readiness and effective design for manufacturing
