Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks an Applications Engineer I to join the Sales Engineering team in Copenhagen, Denmark, onsite. The role covers a broad range of applications/solutions engineering and customer support while collaborating with the Sales team to drive product development.

You will help define and test new products, perform technical analyses, and engineer complete solutions for complex problems. Up to 25% travel to customer sites and events is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• Proficiency with instruments such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other RF/test equipment and testing.
• Must possess an ability to work independently, take initiative, multitask, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must to effectively communicate with customers and internally across the entire organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and test complete solutions that solve unique technical problems.
• Define new products and features to fill gaps and perform product evaluations and field trials for new product features and accessories.
• Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting, system integration engineering, product recommendations, and technical analysis via phone, online, and in person.
• Provide dedicated live support (via phone and email) during standard European working hours to ensure seamless global coverage and assist the US team with off-hours escalations.
• Work individually and with Engineering teams to support requests via in-house or through field testing and validation.
• Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications.
• Support the Sales Engineering team by helping prepare for demonstrations, training, testing, or recreating bugs and issues seen in the field.
• Create and maintain customer-facing documents and content including manuals, guides, videos, application notes, etc. to support customers and sales more efficiently.
• Oversee and assist the RMA and Loaner teams by providing guidance, equipment recommendations, and vetting customer requests.
• Travel requirements – Up to 25% travel to provide in-person engineering support to customers and the sales team, including demos, troubleshooting, system integration, and training.
