Job summary

Terma A/S is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer in Søborg, Denmark, to design and implement scalable, secure software across distributed environments. You will work on a federated digital platform, APIs, and data flows, ensuring interoperability and strong security.

You will apply software engineering principles, cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities, collaborating with internal teams and external partners in a research-driven setting.

Qualifications

• PhD or Postdoctoral in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, AI/ML, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, system design, and abstraction.
• Ability to reason about complex systems and technical trade-offs.
• Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or C++ with knowledge of cloud-native ecosystems, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement components of a federated platform with scalability and resilience requirements.
• Develop services, APIs and data flows across heterogeneous systems.
• Contribute to secure system design including access control and secure data exchange.
• Build and maintain infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling for deployment and lifecycle management.
• Support development of AI-driven content generation and dialogue systems.
