YOUR TASKS:
- Create and maintain reliable C++ services for the mail-store platform, deployable on dedicated hardware and Kubernetes clusters.
- Drive the implementation of new features for automated email processing, from concept through to release.
- Conduct architecture spikes and proof of concepts for complex systems, integrating new technologies.
- Engage closely with QA, spam experts, architects, and operations managers, contributing ideas and expertise.
- Keep up with new technologies and participate in both internal and external conferences.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science) or comparable qualification.
- Strong passion for software development and producing high-quality code.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming with modern C++, including STL and Boost and familiarity with JSON and RESTful HTTP.
- Proven experience with Linux as a development and server environment.
- Skilled in managing distributed systems and proficiency in containerized services on cloud platforms.
- Experienced with IETF RFC Mail Standards is a plus.
- Understanding of automated software quality assurance practices (unit testing, performance tests, continuous deployment/delivery) within an agile framework.
- A self-motivated, communicative, and adaptable team player who thrives on innovation and collaboration.
- Good command of English is required, German is a plus.
