Job summary

An innovative technology consultancy in Cologne is looking for a working student in Software Development specializing in Java. You will focus on data engineering tasks, including implementing SQL-based data structures and planning data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have experience in data engineering and be proficient in both German and English. This part-time role offers flexible hours and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in crafting ERD and BPMN.
• Understanding of data quality checks, using frameworks like DBT is a nice to have.
• Good ability to communicate ideas and plans in a structured manner.

Responsibilities

• Implement SQL-based data structures.
• Plan and implement data pipelines including data quality checks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code for underlying components.

Skills

Experience in data engineering using Java

Responsibilities

• Implementation of SQL-based data structures
• Planning and implementation of data pipelines including data quality checks
• Implementation of Infrastructure as Code for underlying components

Requirements

• Good experience in data engineering using Java and SQL ELT (we are not looking for implementations of dask/arrow/pandas)
• Good experience in data warehouse concepts
• Ability to craft ERD and BPNM and communicate ideas and plans to the team in a clean and structured manner
• Good language skills in German and English which allow you to understand the underlying data
• (Nice to have) Experience in data quality checks using frameworks like DBT
