Job summary

Niologic is building a leading consultancy in Cologne for AI-driven Product Engineering and Location Intelligence. This working student role focuses on modern data products, cloud tech, and API frontends, with tasks including SQL-based data structures, data pipelines and IaC for core components.

You will join a team moving from 15 to 50 specialists, collaborate in German and English, and work on-site at least two days weekly to support data-centric projects and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering using Python and SQL ELT.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to craft ERD and BPMN and communicate plans clearly.
• Good German and English language skills for data understanding.
• Nice-to-have DBT experience.
• Willing to work on-site at the Cologne office at least 2 days per week.

Tasks

As a working student, you will work on modern data products that rely on the latest cloud technology and API-driven frontends. Your tasks will be:

• Implementation of SQL-based data structures
• Planning and Implementation of data pipelines incl. data quality checks
• Implementation of Infrastructure as Code for underlying components

Requirements

As a motivated team player with commitment and initiative, you should also have the following skills to fit into our team:

• Good experience in data engineering using Python and SQL ELT (we are not looking for implementations of dask/arrow/pandas),
• Good experience in datawarehouse concepts,
• Ability to craft ERD and BPNM and communicate ideas and plans to the team in a clean and structured manner,
• Good language skills in German and English which allow you to understand the underlying data,
• (Nice to have) Experience in data quality checks using frameworks like DBT
• Willing to work on site at the office at least 2 days a week
