Valeo’s VIE Program in Erlangen, Germany seeks a Business Management Controller for a 24‑month assignment. You will collaborate with the project team to ensure economic reliability from RFQ to production, build provisional P&L, investment plans and cash flow projections, and align industrial costs with financial outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Management or MBA, industrial Controlling experience, fluent English, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Management or Business Administration required.
• Experience in Controlling within an industrial environment is essential.
• Fluent in English; strong Excel skills are mandatory.
• Good communication, international mindset and diplomacy are valued.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the reliability of the project’s economics from RFQ to series production.
• Build and maintain provisional P&L, investment plan, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure consistency of industrial and economic scenarios including volumes and costs.
• Provide understanding of production costs, including standard times, hourly rates, and fixed costs.
• Prepare syntheses and presentations for upper management on profitability conditions.
• Follow up on project costs (R&D, investments, prices) and KPIs throughout development.
• Track customer contributions, subsidies, and tooling sales across cash flow and balance sheet.

The site of Erlangen based in Germany belongs to the POWER Division. We are looking for a VIE Business Management Controller for 24 months within the team.

Your challenges?

• You will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and the project team as a full team member, ensuring the reliability of the project’s economics from the RFQ / P1 phase until series production.
• You will build and maintain the project’s provisional P&L, investment plan, and cash flow projections.
• You will ensure the consistency of the industrial and economic scenario, including volumes, inflation balance, investments, and R&D costs.
• You will provide the Project Manager with a comprehensive understanding of production costs, including standard times, hourly rates, and fixed cost allocations.
• You will prepare clear syntheses and presentations for upper management, transparently explaining whether and under which conditions a business is profitable.
• You will follow up on project costs (R&D, investments, prices) and key KPIs throughout the complete development phase.
• You will track and manage customer contributions, subsidies, and tooling sales across cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet perspectives.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Management or Business administration
• You already have experience in Controlling in an industrial environment
• You have a fluent level of English
• Good Excel skills are mandatory
• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking
• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
