Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a testing engineer in Germany (Baden-Württemberg) to work in an AIT environment. You will prepare tests for electrical and mechanical subsystems, set up test equipment, and perform hands-on testing to monitor hardware during campaigns.

The role requires a degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics, initial test experience, and knowledge of AIT, with strong English communication (German a plus). Documentation and collaboration with engineering teams are essential.

• have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
• have initial practical experience in testing (e.g., test execution, test setups, early-stage procedures or validation)
• have experience in AIT
• have a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented testing mindset
• are comfortable working both hands‑on and digitally (documentation, procedure writing)
• are neither purely manufacturing-focused nor purely software-focused — you enjoy combining hardware proximity with systematic testing
• have strong communication skills in English, German is a plus and a collaborative approach
