Tintsch Technik GmbH is seeking a Unix Server Administrator to oversee data center infrastructures in Germany. The role includes managing Windows and Linux server platforms, virtualization solutions, and participating in planning and budgeting activities.

For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH to join our team as Unix Server Administrator (d/m/w).

The main tasks and responsibilities:

• Operational responsibility for data center infrastructures in Germany (comprising various Windows- or Linux-based server platforms and virtualization solutions).
• Data center operations: planning and managing the physical layout of data centers (rack planning) and coordinating with facilities management regarding data center utilities (power, air conditioning).
• Support for the planning, development, and implementation of new server infrastructure solutions or data center infrastructures.
• Planning and adherence to annual budgets, including continuous development and improvement.
• Technical support for root cause analysis, particularly regarding incidents within the data center environment.
• Execution of high-level administrative tasks within the area of responsibility.

This position is subject to international regulations on military and aerospace projects, which require specific legal and security authorizations.

Requirements:

Education: at least Bachelor's degree level in Computer Science or similar

Professional Experience: at least 1 year in Information Systems/IT

The ideal candidate has already gained experience with one or more of the following products:

• HPE SYNERGY, LINUX/UNIX, RedHat Server, CITRIX, NetApp, CheckMK

IT Skills: Understanding of configuration management and maintenance and Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies:

• data center infrastructures with hyper-converged hardware platforms;
• server, virtualization, storage, and backup environments and their interaction;
• data center operations and monitoring.

Experience in automation (e.g., Ansible) is desirable.

ITIL knowledge and product certifications (RedHat) are an advantage.

Languages: German: at least negotiation-ready proficiency: English: at least proficient.
