Zusammenfassung

WHITEvoid, an art and design studio known for ambitious kinetic lighting projects, seeks a software developer to advance its TouchDesigner-based control system. You will work with engineers and creative directors to adapt the system for demanding installations and new client requests, including on-site deployment.

Ideal candidates bring strong Python skills, experience with TouchDesigner, and a creative, hands-on mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with TouchDesigner 099 or later and a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with object-oriented programming desirable.
• Basic understanding of the 3D, POP and SOP workflow in TouchDesigner.
• Basic understanding of GLSL.
• Experience with interactive, electromechanical projects.
• Good grasp of sensors, actors and communication protocols.
• Creative mindset with ability to contribute ideas beyond execution.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to balance creative vision with technical feasibility in a collaborative environment.
• High motivation and hands-on mentality.
• Accurate, careful, independent and responsible work style.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain Touch Designer based control software for the KINETIC LIGHTS event automation system.
• Adapt and expand software to new technologies and customer requests.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team across disciplines.
• On-site setup and operation of national and international installations and projects.
• Organize and manage software versions (git).
• Collaborate with Creative Directors to realize concepts using TouchDesigner.
• Contribute ideas and technical solutions throughout development.
• Prepare technical documentation.

Tasks

• Development and maintenance of the Touch Designer based control software for the KINETIC LIGHTS event automation system
• Adapt and expand the software to new technologies and customer requests
• Close interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering team
• On‑site setup and operation of national and international installations and projects
• Organize and manage softwareversions (git)
• Collaborate closely with Creative Directors to bring creative concepts to life using TouchDesigner
• Contribute your own creative ideas and technical solutions throughout the development process

Requirements

• Extensive experience with TouchDesigner 099 with a portfolio of successfully completed projects
• Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with object‑oriented programming desirable
• Basic understanding of the 3D, POPand SOP workflow in TouchDesigner
• Basic understanding of GLSL
• Experience and knowledge related to interactive, electromechanical projects
• Good understanding of key aspects relatedto sensors, actorsand communication protocols
• A creative mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas, not just execute concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
