Jobtailor in Berlin is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own end-to-end quality assurance and test automation within a fast-moving software team.

You will design and maintain automated tests with Playwright/Cypress, build and operate CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers to deliver robust, scalable software.

Experience with API testing, cloud and container technologies, and ISTQB certification is a plus.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
• Solid experience designing, implementing and maintaining automated tests (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
• Experience building and operating CI/CD and test pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Good knowledge of API, integration and end-to-end testing
• Confident use of modern development tools and version control (Git)
• Experience analyzing, prioritizing and permanently resolving defects
• Know‑how in developing test strategies, quality standards and QA processes
• Understanding of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) and close collaboration with development teams
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
• Ideally experience in building or advancing QA/test organizations
• Nice-to-have programming skills in Java, Python or TypeScript
• Nice-to-have experience with performance and load testing
