Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a highly experienced QA Engineer to own and evolve the QA strategy for a distributed system used in real-world environments. You will design and build scalable automated testing frameworks across backend, infrastructure, and web, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

You will drive shift-left testing, define high-impact test scenarios, establish observability and feedback loops, and collaborate with engineers and product teams to embed quality at every development stage.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of software quality engineering with a strong automation focus.
• Experience building scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Backend and system-level testing in Linux, containers and cloud environments.
• Ownership mindset: prevent bugs, not only find them.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for complex systems.
• Experience defining QA strategies, test architecture and metrics.
• Nice to have: Playwright or Selenium for end-to-end testing.
• Nice to have: performance/load testing experience.
• Nice to have: AI-assisted development tools experience.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to embed quality into every stage of development
• Share expertise and support colleagues on best practices in testing, automation, and quality engineering

Requirements

• Several years of experience (typically 5+) in software quality engineering, with a strong focus on automation
• Proven track record of building and scaling automated testing frameworks
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, C++, or similar)
• Deep experience in backend and system-level testing, including Linux environments, containers, and cloud/distributed systems
• A mindset of ownership and curiosity—you don’t just find bugs; you prevent them
• Strong debugging and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex system behavior
• Experience defining QA strategies, test architecture, and quality metrics
• Nice to have: Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar for end-to-end testing
• Nice to have: Background in performance or load testing
• Nice to have: Experience working in environments using AI-assisted development tools
